Masters at Kwan Jang Nim Ah Po's Manchester Clinic.                                                                                    Black Belt Members at Kwan Jang Nim Ah Po's Cornwall Clinic
GrandMaster Ah Po's 2008 UK Tour.
Kwan Jang Nim Ah Po's second visit to the UK was in June of 2008. The fantastically successful round of seminars and Dan assessments were actioned from Cornwall to Manchester. In all the GrandMaster taught representatives from a total of eight different Tang Soo Do organizations.
Seminar subjects included; the responsibilities of a student;  the three breathing styles inherent within late style Tang Soo Do; knife defense; transition training (to promote skill transfer between one step and free sparring) and experiencing your ki during hyung training. All in all a wonderful ten days of training that reflected a life time spent close to the roots of the art.

Fantastic performances at the TTF International Championships in Cardiff on May the 9th.
Thirty five Members (including three Master grades) attended the Traditional Tang Soo Do Federation's International Championships at the NIAC venue in South Wales on Saturday the 9th of May.
We have become accustomed to Master Trudgill's (TTF) team of Instructors putting on a wonderful event and this year was no exception.
Our competitors achieved an unprecedented medal haul. Even those who did not 'place' managed to acquit themselves most admirably and perhaps more importantly behaved in a way that showed their Moo Do. We are proud of every Member who attended on the day.

Second British Tang Soo Do Federation Exposition Weekend 24/25th October 2009.
250 competitors attended the first day of the Second BTSDF Exposition weekend covering the 24th and 25th of October.
The midday line up included sixteen Master grades who observed events through to the 'on-time' conclusion of competitive activities at five pm.
The emphasis of the day was on 'gathering' rather than merely competing. New friendships were forged and old ones cemented.
We thank all of those practitioners who travelled to support the event for their dedication to the art and perpetuating traditional Tang Soo Do. During the evening the BTSDF hosted a meal and meeting for the 'Heads of organisations' within the Tang Soo Do Union (link now available on our links page) along with invited guests. Agreements reached during the meeting saw the Tang Soo Do Union grow to over 3000 Members.
Day two of the Exposition weekend or 'Dan-Day' saw Dan Members from all Regions supporting those who were due to test through a gruelling five hour hyung review prior to the final testing hour. Information gained by the BTSDF KoDanJa Members during their recent training sessions with Kwan Jang Nim Ah Po in Pittsburgh on the timing of hyung practice from the Founder's latter years was disseminated during the day. This augmentation aided unified practice by heightening 'group adherence'.

What a weekend - we look forward to welcoming you next year on the 30 and 31st of October.

BTSDF Manual for Gup Members Edition 3 now available.
The third review of the British Tang Soo Do Federation's Manual for Gup Members is now available for Members to purchase.
The third review contains an increased Gup attendance requirement between belt assessments and an introductory page on the commitment required to reach our personal goals. The third edition also contains our Gup curriculum laid out for the first time in a 'page per grade' format. This format contains direction on the prerequisite 'technical progress' (based on 'core skills') required to successfully assess for each new Gup level.
